2020 Halloween in Highland!
Date: Saturday, October 24th
Time: 10:00am - 2:00pm (last sign-up slot is at 1:30pm)
Starting Location/Check-In: Langford & Karls Chiropractic (730 Cleveland Ave S, St Paul, MN 55116)
Event Details: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we've reimagined our annual trick-or- treating event in the Highland Village. Join the Highland Business Association, Highland District Council, Friends of Highland Arts, and Saint Paul Parks and Recreation for a socially distant Halloween event including safe trick-or-treating, a scavenger hunt, and fun prizes.
• Trick-or-Treating: in order to maintain strict COVID-19 health and safety protocols based on CDC guidelines, we are implementing a sign-up system this year for trick-or-treating. Check-in will be in the parking lot of Langford & Karls Chiropractic. Businesses will have stations set up along a designated route through the Highland Village that will be staffed by employees/volunteers with masks and gloves handing out candy and other items. Participants will not be going into businesses. All trick-or-treating/engagement stations will be outdoors. Every participating business has agreed to protocols based on CDC guidelines to ensure a safe and limited contact trick-or-treating experience at their station.
*As mentioned, you must sign up to participate in trick-or-treating this year. You can sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/904054FABAE2FA1F85-2020 *
• Scavenger Hunt: this year's trick-or-treating experience will also include a scavenger hunt hosted by Friends of Highland Arts. There will be Halloween themed icons along the way in the windows or attached to the stations of participating businesses. Each child participant will receive a map/passport during check-in to get marked off at each stop. Those that complete the scavenger hunt can enter their completed passport at the end of the route for the chance to win some fun prizes!
• Gift Bags: in addition to our adapted trick-or-treating experience, every child participant will receive a gift bag with candy and other items from members of the Highland Business Association at the end of the scavenger hunt route.
